Genevieve: belt furniture by Jason Lloyd Fletcher – upcycleDZINE

Furniture made out of leather always has special character. But what if this leather furniture was made out of used leather or even better upcycled/reused belts? Well look at “Genevieve” by industrial designer Jason Lloyd Fletcher and how it makes quite a statement. Genevieve is a series of handmade pieces representing luxury products with sustainable, ethical principles. Created by using salvaged and vintage leather belts. This way he promotes the reuse of items that can alternatively find value elsewhere and of course saves items from going to waste. The range’s first models were made in association with Sweet notions, an entrepreneurial and socially conscious enterprise currently working in the US and UK.
