Tube upcycled into modern lamps
Take a look at the ‘Bicycle Tube Lamp‘ by Miks Design. A great lamp design that creates an atmosphere by a mesmerizing play of shadows on the floor, wall and objects surrounding it. The structure is created by an original idea of binding bicycle tube strips around a metal frame.
Every week lots of tubes are thrown away by bicycle repair shops. Because the tubes don’t end up on landfill, it’s a great way to contribute to sustainability.
Miks design: ‘No two lamps are the same, but if it does occur, you can easily move some strips of rubber and the lamp and the amount of light will change’.
