Jelly mould as unusual lamp
And now I want to add another one. This lovely ‘Vintage Metal Mould Light‘ designed by The Rework House. An Etsy store founded by Sarah, based in Newquay | United Kingdom. She was brought up with the rule that when something is broke you should try to to mend it. According to Sarah, figuring out how to mend it would result in a search of the house and this gave rise to unique and unusual solutions.
And in 2012 it resulted in The Rework House where I found this very elegant mould lamp. It’s a gorgeous vintage metal jelly mould reworked to become a single quirky and beautiful pendant light with a quality vintage style bulb holder. The metal jelly mould used for this lamp held approx 0.5 to 0.75 litres of jelly in its previous life.

“Rework House takes one man’s junk and reworks it in to another man’s treasure. Surplus stuff becomes unique light fittings, tatty vintage pieces are reinvented as wonderful wall decor, unloved bits and bobs are salvaged as quirky home decor and discarded things are reinvented as unusual furniture. Surplus, tatty, unloved and discarded junk finds a home”.
