There are hundreds of design lighting pieces made from upcycling bottles, jars and other kitchenware. And lots of them are very nice, simple and beautiful. But I think today’s featured upcycle design has something special to it.
Royal China plate still shows its beauty
The creative guys Jeff and Mark from BootsNGus took a very striking vintage platter and turned it into a ‘Vintage Plate Pendant‘ lamp. My mother used to have a few vintage plates on the wall and they showed true craftsmanship. These bold patterns and designs have so much detail and the plates are great as home decor and deserve our attention.
Royal China produced this pattern in the 1970’s and called the pattern ‘Sahara’. The pattern features a daisy design in brown and white surrounded by brown and tan circles.

Each fixture is handcrafted by BootsNGus in their studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan | United States. “We named our shop after two of our cats, Boots & Gus. We’re addicted to vintage housewares, books, music, art, etc…so we offer a large selection of vintage treasures as well!”
This unique vintage plate pendant lamp is another fine example of a wonderful and gorgeous way to upcycle vintage kitchenware!
