Most of the time upcycle design is made from one particular material or item. It’s not often you’ll see a combination of two discarded materials.
Well, industrial designer Alejandra Castelao from Mexico City, currently based in San Francisco, designed the ‘Upcycled Lamp‘. A wonderful and transparent lamp design that shows how great two discarded materials can go together.

An upcycled lamp without adhesives and glue

She made this design as a quick weekend project. A DIY Lamp made of upcycled materials like cardboard boxes and beer bottles. The way this simple construction is assembled it eliminates the need of adhesives and glue.
