Stacked Books Table Lamp by Dan Faires – upcycleDZINE
Glad to be back! Last week was like it never happened, it went by but I wasn’t aware I was in it. Everything still has to fall into place. Well I guess the best thing to do is to get on with what I like doing and that’s by showing everybody the unique upcycle designs that are outhere. So here we go!
This time it’s a DIY design. At upcycleDZINE I’ve already shown some incredible upcycle designs [1, 2, 3, 4] that involve books. Books are great in many ways. Take a bookshelf for instance, the beautiful arrangement of all the different covers, small, wide, old, new, colorful. Or a stack of books, the same thing. Now what if you could use a stack of books and turn it into a lamp? Don’t look any further, Dan Faires over at HGTV did just that. He designed a reasonably easy to make and incredible stylish looking ‘Stacked Books Table Lamp‘. A piece of lighting design that will look good in many interiors. To get started you’ll need a drill, a screwdriver, a box cutter, an old lamp shade and of course some books you don’t intend to read anymore and don’t want to show on your bookshelf. Dan Faires made a great tutorial with great photo’s. Can’t wait to see what your Stacked Books Table Lamp is going to be like.
