Today I want to show another design that has to do with audio. After a design made of CDs and DVDs, one made of cassette tapes, It’s time for another design made of an audio item. This time it’s the vinyl record. These days vinyl is becoming popular again in a small scene these and people are even buying record players again. But still, there’re thousands of records lying around in cardboard boxes and gathering dust. Just like the cassette tape and the CD.
So when I saw these clocks I had to smile. Finally someone thought of a way to re-use them. Designer Pavel Sidorenko, Tallinn | Estonia, designed these ‘RE_VINYL clocks‘. Pavel Sidorenko: “Discreetly crafted on the theme of scenography, animal creatures or city skyline, the collection comes in a variety of story-telling silhouettes while retaining the grooves and record labels reminiscent of the heydays of acoustic recordings.”
There’re enough clocks to choose from for kids room, living room or office. Time to put music on your wall and to see the ‘Little River Band’ turned to Jazz. Never thought that day would come!
