If you’re searching for a cool looking industrial piece of lighting, well this is it. This design by Castor Design is a great way to reuse old tube lights as a chandelier. Another object that normally gets thrown away. Now it has a new life as a light object. The lighting object is made of burnt-out fluorescent bulbs lit with new incandescent light bulbs. The design is available in vertical and horizontal versions and in different lengths.
Testing the limits of materials
Castor Design was established 2009 in Toronto. Led by Brian Richer and Kei Ng. Castor Design is committed to innovation in design. Its work tests the limits of materials, both in terms of aesthetic and structural properties, blurring the line between the practicality of engineering and the indulgence of art.
