Bicycle parts are used for a lot of upcycle design pieces. If you want to see some great examples, just look at the post I’ve created with the title ‘11 upcycle design ideas using bicycle parts‘. One of the designs featured in that post is an upcycle design piece by Austrian designer Andreas Scheiger called ‘Upcycle Fetish‘. A rack to hang your bicycle or everyday object on and it’s built from cleaned up handlebars and saddles. He was inspired by Pablo Picasso’s ‘Bull Head‘ [Cabeza de Toro] sculptures.
And today I’m switching from bicycles to motorcycles, showing an upcycle design wall lamp that should appeal to a lot of motorcycle enthusiasts.
Motorcycle parts can look stunning on a wall
The design also uses handlebars, motorcycle handlebars. Only this time they’re used for creating a stunning wall lamp collection called ‘TORO‘ resembling a bull’s skull. The lamp is constructed from genuine custom motorcycle parts. This amazing upcycle design lighting piece is created by chemical engineer Eran Peled from Tel Aviv, Israel. He works in industrial plants all day long, designing metal constructions and piping supports. He loves working with metal, welding parts and cutting pieces off.
So why the toro? “Animal trophy heads make impressive monuments and focal points to any room. They have grown extremely trendy in recent years and earned many different versions and references in the design and decoration world.”
And why motorcycles? “For me, motorcycles are not just vehicles, they represent a way of living, taking part in almost every facet of our lives. They are my true passion.”

“I wanted to design an object that when on display, immediately conveys a strong statement of who you are as a person – your lifestyle and your background. I believe the TORO is that object.”
And not only that, because of Eran’s craftsmanship TORO is a top quality product and a real eye-catcher.
